Community Development Officer

Job Status: Regular Full-time, Salary
Location: Inland Empire or San Diego, CA
Compensation Range: $65,000 - $85,000

SUMMARY:

The Community Development Officer will play a key role in driving growth by identifying opportunities, managing partnerships, and supporting small businesses in accessing capital. This position requires strong relationship-building skills, financial acumen, and a commitment to community development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Identify and engage potential business clients and community partners.

Conduct client interviews to assess business needs and program eligibility.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with business owners and referral partners.

Support loan application processes by collecting and reviewing required documents.

Collaborate with the underwriting team to ensure a seamless funding experience.

Comfortable in organizing and participating in outreach events to promote financial products.

Track and analyze business development activities and impact metrics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Very Strong communication skills across various platforms (in-person, phone, email).

  • Ability to manage multiple client relationships and projects simultaneously.

  • Experience working with small businesses, community development, or financial services.

  • Proficiency in CRM systems such as Salesforce (preferred).

  • Bilingual – Spanish (preferred).

  • Willing to travel occasionally for events.

  • Must be able to legally work in the US.
